Oliver-Barnard Hall

Oliver Barnard Hall is the primary Blount academic house. The main office and faculty offices are found in this hall. On any given day you will find Blount students studying, talking, and resting between class as well as taking their seminars.

History: Named for professor, scientist, and photographer F.A.P. Barnard who pioneered the study of astronomy at The University of Alabama. Rededicated in 2000 in honor of alumni and friend John T. Oliver Jr., trustee of The University of Alabama, and established as a Blount Scholars Program Academic House.
