Convocation – “Accidents of Classification”: Why does the way we organize information matter?

The way we organize information is often invisible, but it’s vitally important to what and how we know about the world we live in—not only the answers we can find, but also the questions we can ask. Dr. Sarah Sahn will look at some of the ways that libraries organize information, how we use them, and what their limits are, and discuss how a critical awareness of our knowledge structures can help us ask different questions.
