Lights Out for the Earth Glow Party/Documentary Screening
March 24, 2018 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm
On Saturday, March 24th from 8:30pm-9:30pm, a worldwide event called Earth Hour will happen. Earth Hour is an initiative to raise awareness about reducing electricity use and preserving our planet; to support the cause, people around the world turn off their lights for an hour. The Blount Scholars Program in collaboration with the Marine Science Club will host a “Lights Out for the Earth” Glow Party/Documentary Screening to celebrate the event . This year’s Earth Hour theme is biodiversity; what better place to be involved than the state with the highest freshwater biodiversity in the nation?
